Lavern Bennet runs a blog where they review inns, hotels, and motels. When Lavern begins to visit hotels in their dreams, she starts reviewing them on her blog alongside the real ones. At first it was a joke, but they have quickly become fascinated by the strange architecture and distorted memories that shape the hotel rooms of the dream world.

Layouts and inks by Eleri Theda Extence.
Script by Brooke Thompson.

Eleri Theda Extence is an illustrator who lives and works in the homeland of the Potawatomi, Ho-Chunk, and Menominee peoples, also known as Wisconsin. They grew up inhaling every graphic novel in their local library and sometimes still cough up paper and ink. Then they got on the internet and started reading comics, because computers were harder to swallow. They love to work with a mix of digital art, and traditional media like ink, watercolor, and crayon. In 2025 they will graduate from the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design with a BFA in Illustration and a minor in Communication Design. They hope to bring their skills in book design and comics illustration to as many stories as they can before their ultimate demise (choking on a popcorn kernel). You can send them a message at: [email protected]
